Ólafur J. Engilbertsson, Chairman of the Icelandic Basque Association : „Baskavinafélagið á Íslandi“
Ólafur holds a master’s degree in practical cultural communication and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Iceland. He studied Spanish at the University of Barcelona and stage design at the Institute of theatre in Barcelona. He also studied graphic design in San Francisco. Engilbertsson is the chairman of the Icelandic Basque Association, but he is also a renowned expert in practical cultural communication, a historian, writer, and a graphic designer. He has designed nearly seventy history exhibitions and has directed several cultural events, exhibitions, seminars, concerts, and mixed programs across Iceland and abroad for the past 30 years. He is also on the board of several Icelandic cultural associations. Currently he is a curator and communications manager at the National and University Library of Iceland.
