Sanhita Saha is a Fellow at the European Music Council and works at the AEC (European Association of Conservatories) in Brussels. She holds a dual master’s degree in social anthropology and ethnology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (Paris) and Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main). Her thesis focused on a comparative study of the teaching of piano virtuosity at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris and the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. Originally from Bengal, Sanhita Saha pursued an alternative educational path at the Sri Aurobindo International Centre for Education in Pondicherry. This background has enabled her to become fluent in seven languages. She received a high-level education in music. She is a virtuoso on the piano, the Indian flute, and as a vocalist. Passionate about issues related to cultural policies and the ways in which these forms impact social spheres, she is currently active in international music networks. Sanhita Saha played a major role in the preparation of this twelfth edition of the Haizebegi Festival.
