*Petites géométries de l’expérience musicale*, Frédéric Deval’s posthumous book , has just been published.
The book brings together 68 texts by Frédéric Deval, written between the 1970s and 2016, the year of his passing. His wife, Ghislaine Glasson Deshaumes, delved into these numerous writings and selected pieces spanning his entire musical career. This book offers a window into Frédéric Deval’s thinking and how it took shape, particularly through his work as a programmer and producer. The texts are organized into four themes: L’Art Jondo (referring to the deep vocals of flamenco), Rhythms, Voices, and Breath, The Circle and the Musical Experience, and Transcultural Music. To be read in one sitting or at your leisure, *Small Geometries of Musical Experience* is a journey into a unique way of thinking that left its mark on the musical creativity of its time.
