Now in its tenth year, and still going strong. Kicking off on the evening of Thursday, October 12, the tenth edition of the Haizebegi Festival unveils its extraordinary and eclectic program. From music to the social sciences, folk songs to improvised boxing, the festival intrigues. Straddling the line between “body and mind,” Haizebegi brings worlds together, sparks discussion, and builds “bridges that aren’t quite as obvious as they seem.” A decade later, this “indefinable” festival has nonetheless established its own distinct style: a strong political commitment, a constant dialogue between performance and reflection, always accompanied by a touch of lighthearted humor.
