News Brief – Exploring Liszt with Bruno Moysan

This Friday, October 20, the Haizebegi Festival is immersed in the musical world of Romanticism. Bruno Moysan, a certified music teacher and Ph.D. in musicology, invites readers to (re)discover his book *Liszt*, published in 1999. Since his dissertation, defended in 1997, Liszt has remained at the center of his research. In the 127 pages of his book, the author paints a sensitive portrait of the composer, tracing his life’s journey. Music is at the heart of the book, but so are philosophy and social commitment. The work seeks to broaden the reader’s perspective on this genius—who, according to the author, is too often misunderstood—in order to more accurately grasp his significance as a historical figure. Bruno Moysan’s lecture on Franz Liszt’s Sonata in B minor is illuminated by his passion for the composer.
